Jet Boat Courses

Fred Seiler has over thirty years and 9000 logged hours on jet boat operations. Using this experience he has developed an intense two- three day jet boat course through the University of Northern British Columbia.  The course covers: basic operations, safety, equipment, maintenance, and trip pre-planning.  The course is designed to enhance your boat handling skills and your understanding of water hydrology characteristics.  Examples of skills taught are: Reading lines,  backing down a 90 degree corner safely, big water, small water start and stop water techniques what to do in the event of an engine failure, load placement, boat limitations and more.

This course consists of 4 - 8 hours of classroom training and 12 - 24 hours of boat operation on the river.  Equipment needed for this course:  jet boat meeting all marine safety standards, personal pfd, and appropriate outdoor wear (ie: waders). 

This course is limited to six - eight students with two students per boat.
